We checked out of the campsite nice and early and set off for the Vatican museums where we met our guide who zipped us through the vast collection and St peter's Basilica. The kids were pretty impressed and showed an interest in everything they saw but after three hours were ready for a rest a pizza and lots to drink.At 4pm we headed for Orvieto., arriving after a couple of hours with enough time to stroll around the medieval town, take photos in front of the impressive duomo and eat a simple but typical dinner of pasta sugo and roast pork.
